When Joe's extra-marital indiscretions force his company to transfer him to New York, Alice hopes it might be a fresh start. Especially when they find a beautiful old house in Connecticut to buy. It's the beginning of Alice's dream, and for a while she and Joe seem to be as happy as newlyweds.
