welcome guests.
Irish couple Anna and Austen MacDonald have bought a penthouse apartment, to reward themselves for years of hard work. They meet new owner and next-door neighbour, Sally
Ann, a feisty Texan mother of two young teenagers, still reeling from her husband's infidelity, and a friendship is born. But some aren't interested in becoming friends. Spanish owner,
overbearing Eduardo de La Fuente, has plans for La Joya, that don't include sun, sand, sea and sangria, much to the
irritation of his fellow proprietors.
As their destinies entwine, friendships and enmities develop, and it soon becomes apparent that La Joya is not quite the
haven they all expected it to be.
