This volume presents a comprehensive collection of the electrophysiological recording techniques, methods, and protocols used in studying the measurements of the electrical activity of neurons (particularly their action potential activity) in both animal and humans models. Although both techniques for recording and methods for stimulation with humans will be included, most chapters will focus on the more common laboratory experimentation with rodents and primates. Several new electrophysiological techniques have been introduced since the last volume on experimented methods by Humana.
