The twelve chapters in this volume examine recent advances in the analysis of physiological fluids (such as blood plasma, urine, and breast milk) for cannabinoids. Following an introductory chapter on metabolic transformations of tetrahydrocannabinol, analytical procedures using gas chromatography, radioimmunoassay, and mass spectroscopy are presented. Other methods discussed include high-pressure liquid chromatography, dansylation and double labeling, and thinlayer chromatography.
