This edited book gives a comprehensive picture of the state of the art in authoring systems and authoring tools for advanced technology instructional systems. Issues of authoring, cost-effectiveness, interoperability and re-usability have been at the forefront in recent years in educational software in general and in the field of advanced, adaptive and intelligent educational software more specifically.
