This work is part of a two-volume study of the five principal species of small mammals used in biomedical research. It illustrates the anatomy of all major laboratory animals, drawing comparisons between related species and highlighting morphological differences of clinical significance. Features are left- and right-side views of the anatomy to illustrate asymetrical morpology and illustrations of the circulatory system based on preparations using plastic infusion. The text is organized by regional anatomy.
